A just a thought
I will post, for the moment, something I came across while attempting to use an online, seemingly "beginner's" guide for Photoshop 7.0. In a section regarding adjustment layers it says:
It’s a good idea to fall into the habit of using adjustment
layers whenever you need to make an adjustment using any of the adjustments
available from the Layer » New Adjustment Layer submenu.
Now, I'm not sure about anyone else but I do not find this reference very user friendly. Sure, if you think it through it could make sense, but honestly... IT'S A GUIDE! It's supposed to aid you, not confuse the shit out of you. You shouldn't have to think it through. So basically, I think it's a "good idea" to make an adjustment to that guide. Yeah, yeah, so maybe I'm nitpickin', but whatever. For whomever gives a shit, you hear what I'm sayin'.
On account of this I'll mention that Photoshop itself has become a habit.. um... I mean, hobby of mine, so I do try to find easier ways to learn it than sitting for hours at the 'puter, not that that's not necessary, because you have to do that too. So, anyone out there with a good rec for a detailed, but user friendly guide, let me know about it if you have a sec.
